Can you use the same presciption for your eye-glasses that was used for your con!
Question:
Can you use the same presciption for your eye-glasses that was used for your contacts?
Answers:
An eyeglass prescription is a separate entity from a contact lens prescription. In some cases, the prescriptive numbers may remain the same, if the power falls within a certain range. If it falls outside of this range, adjustments must be made for the difference between where glasses sit (in front of your eye) and where the contact lens sits (on the eye itself). This is called a vertex distance. Beyond that, the contact lens prescription must have specifications as to curvature and diameter. You must be fit by your eye care provider to determine your specific requirements.
