It is possible, but not necessarily guaranteed. I see entire families in which only one child requires correction. The best way to determine if he'll need them is to have his eyes examined. He's not too young. He may not manifest any prescription at this time, but it's a good idea to make sure his eyes are healthy. Then have him evaluated annually, or at least biannually. This will ensure that he is seeing all he should and if not, will allow for appropriate correction.
