How do I keep the film off of my contacts once I cleanse them?!

Question:

How do I keep the film off of my contacts once I cleanse them?

I cleanse my contacts on each side prior to inserting them. Once they have been applied them, they fit comfortably but there is a film over them(not a blur).

Answers:

There are a few issues that could be causing the film to stay on your lenses.
Firstly, you are supposed to cleanse your lenses when you remove them.
Make sure you wash your hands, remove one lens then take the cleaning solution and pour some on the lens and rub it in the palm of your hands. This helps loosen debris or protein build up. Even if you have a "no rub" solution you should rub it anyways to help loosen the debris. After doing that rinse off the lens with the solution and place it in the clean case that has fresh disinfecting solution. Repeat those steps for the other eye.

If you already clean them using those steps and still have problems with build up on your lenses you may need to use an enzymatic cleaner or daily protein remover.
An enzymatic cleaner is for removing protein from your contact lenses, usually on a weekly basis. You use the tablets with saline solution or disinfecting solution.
A daily protein remover is also used to remove protein but on a daily basis and it is in a liquid form.
Consult an eye care professional before buying new solutions/products for use with lenses because some are not compatible.
Another cause that could leave your lenses with a film is not replacing your lenses when recommended... if they are made for 30 wears then throw them out after that amount of wears :)
If you still have problems with your contacts I would consult your local eye care professional and they can help you out. :)

Hope that helps :)
