I just got new contacts and my eyes burn??!

I just got new contacts and my eyes burn??

Yesterday i finally switched to contacts and have trouble (30 min) getting them in and out, but i assume ill get used to it..however wen i get em in, it burns for like 10 min then gets normal..will i just get used to it or is it the solution.

Hello there! Well seeing as how the burning happens for ten minutes then goes away, it is the solution! What type of solution are you using? Is it a "multipurpose" or "all in one" solution. These solutions contain a mild soap because they are used to clean your contacts as well as store them and that is why they can irritate your eyes. You may want to look into getting a solution made for sensitive eyes or a single step solution regime. The single step involves having a separate solution for cleaning/storing/re wetting. This will take out the irritation that the multipurpose solutions can cause.
You may get used to the solution, but if the problem persists you may want to talk to your local eye care professional about it.
