Anyone else who wear contacts i need your help!?

ive been wearing contacts for 6 months and now i begin to notice my eyes turn a little red when i take them off the redness esp in my right eye......b4 i decided to wear contacts i knew my eyes mite turn red..I'd like to know why??

When wearing contact lenses many problems like this can occur. If you wear the contacts too long in a day or if you do not throw them out when it is recommended your eyes can become very irritated even damaged. It could be a lack of oxygen that is causing your eyes to become red. Naturally your eyes produce protein and this builds up on the lenses, even with cleaning them thoroughly the deposits remain. These deposits irritate your eyes and also "clog" up your contact lenses and the amount of oxygen getting to your cornea is reduced. Your cornea needs oxygen and if it is deprived many problems can occur....red eyes is just one of them. Damage that can occur may be irreversible and end up in a person not being able to wear contacts anymore.
This is why it is very important to minimize contact lens wear when possible and throw out contacts when it is recommended. Also make sure you clean your lenses thoroughly to reduce amount of protein deposits.

I think your eyes need a bit of a break, so try to wear your contacts less so your cornea can have time to recover. If problems persist it would be a good idea to see an eye doctor to check your eyes.
