Ortho-K Lens - Sticking to Eye?!

Question:

Ortho-K Lens - Sticking to Eye?

I have been using Ortho-K lenses for a few months, and no matter what i do (put drops in my eyes, blink, move the lenses gently with my fingers ...) they always stick to the eye and it's slightly painful to remove them. Has anyone encountered this? Any solutions? I have spoken to my optician, but as he doesn't have them himself, I don't think he quite understands the problems and just tells me to do what I already do. Thanks.

Answers:

this is common in otrho-k and while botersome, is not usually dangerous.

try instilling eyedrops in the morning before you remove the lenses. then close your eyes and "roll" them around for a few seconds.

also try looking in the mirror with your eyes open, then take your finger and push up on your bottom eyelid and "massage" the bottom edge of the lens through your eyelid.
