Question:

What does my eye prescription mean?

I need to know if my vision is better than 20/60 for a job. My doctor said my eyes are both -3.25 (sphere) and DS (cylinder). Is there a way I can convert this into 20/20 terms?

"Uncorrected vision no worse than 20/60 binocular; correctable to 20/20 in each eye." ---that doesn't look too good for me, does it?


Answers:

you mean your "uncorrected" acuity must be 20/60? -3.25 equates to about 20/200 or so at distance, so you wouldnt make it. but if you just need to be "correctable" to better than 20/20 thats totally different.
