Answers:

I'm an Optician and I've been helping patients select frames for 10 years and I can honestly say that without having seen your face, it is IMPOSSIBLE to help you with this. There is more to it than face shape and color of hair. The proportions of your face, the placement of your features, and the way frames sit on your face all need to be taken into account. Frames all have different dimensions...the A measurement (the width of the lenses), the B measurement (the measurement of the depth of the lenses), the bridge (the distance between the lenses) and the temple length. Without actually seeing your face, and different frames on you (because all frames look different on everyone) I cannot really make any real suggestions...The strength of your prescription also has a lot to do with it, especially if you have a strong one. The size of the lens and your eye's placement in that lens can mean the difference between having very thin, attractive lenses, or thick unattractive lenses. The strength of your prescription can put certain limitations on the the type of eyewear that will work and look best on you. Semi-rimless and drilled rimless frames are best for someone who has a thinner prescription.

I will tell you that wear I work, very squared and geometrical frame shapes are very popular. They are very European. And there should be someone there that will help you select the perfect frame for your face shape and coloring. Also, I highly recommend an anti-reflective coating for your lenses. Car headlights, computer screens and overhead lighting produce a lot of glare on your lenses and it causes a lot of eye strain. The anti-reflective coating will eliminate most of that glare and keep your eyes from feeling so awful, especially after sitting on the computer. The coating also looks nicer cosmetically because when people are looking at you, they will see your eyes, and not all the reflection from lights around you, so it is really nice if you need to wear your glasses for pictures.

Good luck!!!
