Pain in Eye?!

Question:

Pain in Eye?

I've been noticing a dull, but annoying pain in my left eye. It doesn't last long, just about 5-15 seconds at a time. It probably happens on average, about once a day...sometimes more, sometimes less. is this serious?

this IS my good eye, also. i don't wear glasses but i should. i really don't think this is related to having to wear glasses.

Hello there :)
There is a number of things that can cause pain in your eyes such as headaches, sinus problems, allergies, eye strain, infections, flash burns (from improper eye protection in tanning booths) and the list goes on.....
Some things cause a deep dull ache behind or in the eye. This pain is often caused by diseases of the eye. Some are as follows: Iritis is an inflammation of the iris, Optic neuritis is an inflammation of the optic nerve, Sinusitis, which is a bacterial or viral infection of the sinuses and Migraines.

There are so many possibilities for why you could be experiencing pain.
The best advice I can give you is to see an eye doctor, when it comes to your eyes its better to be safe then sorry.
Just tell the eye doctor what you are experiencing and they can examine your eyes. Even if you are fine, you will have the piece of mind knowing that :)
