I'm a black male and i'm trying to get colored eye contacts. I already have glasses. So how much u think that'll cost me in florida. I checked somewhere and they told me it's 175 dolars ( the same doctor who prescribed me my glasses) but i don't have insurance. How much u guys think it should be...Any suggestion on where i could go?

The cost will depend on whether you've worn contacts before, what type of prescription you have (astigatism or not, etc.) and the doctor you go to. You must be fitted and complete a follow-up examination before a contact lens prescription even exists. It is not the same as a glasses rx. Your fitting fee could cost anywhere from 35 dollars to 175 dollars. Once the fit is established, then you can order your lenses anywhere you wish. You are not required to buy them from the doctor who fit you, though sometimes that's best if your prescription is a difficult one requiring many adjustments. I would call around and find out what the different doctors in your area charge for fitting your type of prescription.
