What do people know about macular dystrophy in young people?!

Question:

What do people know about macular dystrophy in young people?

Answers:

Macular dystrophy is an inherited corneal condition which shows in the first or second decade of life. Decreased visual acuity can occur in the third and fourth decades. You might experience painful erosions of the surface of the cornea and require bandage contact lenses and medication. Surgical intervention may be required in those with serial erosions.

There are also several macular dystrophies in and around the macula, the part of your retina that provides detailed vision, most of which are genetic. I'd need to know more about which condition to which you are referring. I tend to think cornea first as that's my prime area of interest.
