To Lasik or not to Lasik...that is my question.?

I am thinking about getting Lasik Surgery done. Does anyone know the going rate, and what all it entails?? I am kind of fearful about it, as I have heard that it is quite freaky.

I got mine done about 9 months ago and love it. It cost me 2200 per eye with the wavefront technology measurements, and well worth the money. If you have never worn contacts the surgery might be nerve racking to have work done so close to your eyes. But if you are comfortable with putting in contacts then you'll have no problem with the surgery. There wasn't any pain with the surgery at all. My left eye had perfect vision within a couple of days and my right eye took two weeks to heal to 20/20. Both eyes are 20/20 now.
