When you're reading, from which side should the light come from so that it won't!

Question:

When you're reading, from which side should the light come from so that it won't damage your eyes?

Answers:

Well the only sort of light that will damage your eyes is UV. The Sun emits ultraviolet radiation in the UVA, UVB, and UVC bands. Too much exposure to UV rays can cause the early onset of cataracts and such growths like pterygium and pinguecula. So if you are planning on reading outside don't face the sun and wear 100% UV protected eyewear and its a good idea to wear some sunscreen as well :)
If you are indoors you don't have to worry which way the light is coming from. Regular light bulbs do not emit UV rays and they will not cause harm to your eyes. :)

LOL@ the answer under mine... i'm pretty sure that most people by the time they retire have diminshed vision... well because presbyopia hits in your 40's and up and many eye conditions can be age related.....
