My parents are totally against me getting contacts...?
I'm sick of having to wear glasses all the time. I want to get contacts so bad, but my parents won't let me. My mom's friends on this forum thing told her that their eyes got red and stuff from wearing contacts. And now she's convinced that the same thing is going to happen to me. She thinks that they're dangerous for my eyes, and she thinks the way you put them in is gross. What can I do to change her mind? I've tried asking my dad but he said that if my mom says no, he agrees with her. I've tried EVERYTHING. I even looked up facts about contacts on the net, so she can see that they don't hurt and tons of people wear them. Most of my friends do even! So what do I do?

katertot....tell them that they can't do this forever, and it's true! and about her friends on the forum thingy....she doesn't even know them! and they could be wearing their contacts day and night, without letting their eyes have some air. i've done that before, and my eyes turned red.
