actually im near sighted.

This is called a "near point"- It is the closest distance at which you can focus on an object. This is the limit of accommodation for your eyes. " Accommodation is a flexible focusing mechanism that automatically adds to any eye's optical power. It is this mechanism that enables normal eyes to focus clearly on objects that are up close."

The same thing happens to me and I don't even need correction. Every ones near point can be different depending on refractive error (myopic/hyperopic/presbyopic). You are nearsighted so that means you can see things that are closer to you better than far... so your near point is closer than someone that is farsighted.
