when i try to get my contacts in my eyelashes get in the way, any tips

I have the same problem. Try using your pointer finger and thumb of your opposite hand to hold open your eye while you use your other hand (with the contact with not too much saline on it, otherwise it will be too heavy) to put it in. Everytime I get a problem like this I try it, and it works!
