Is there any eye specialist here ?

i am 23 and suffering from myopia and its getting worse.
I have heard that the problem doesn't increase after a certain age, is that true ?
My current number is -5.50(right eye) and -3.50(left eye).
it has increased by 2.5 and 1.0 respectively in just 2 months.
what might be the reason ?
Is Laser treatment advisable for permanent cure?Please tell me details about it.

Myopia usually increased through first 2 decades of life but it become stable about the 3rd decade.Your increasing myopia in 2 months(if it was really true depending your examinations) is somewhat unusual. Some types of corneal ectasia such as keratoconus could be mild and present with increasing myopia. An accurate exam and doing a corneal topography or orbscan can demonstrate such conditions. Refractive surgeries by excimer laser do not recommend in such conditions and in unstable myopia. You should have a stable amount of myopia in 12 months before doing laser.
