About specs?!

Question:

About specs?

when you have prescription specs from the opt. instead of paying "big money" for a second pair, is it okay to buy the specs you see in a pharmacy to use as a spare pair? would they harm my eyes even more if i wore them?

Answers:

Well, yes and no. The glasses at the pharmacy are magnifiers, and that is ok if you have that kind of prescription, and your prescription is the same in both eyes. Most people can't use these becuase they are myopic or have asti8gmatism, which the over the counter magnifiers will not correct. I personally use them from time to time over my contacts to get clearer vision if I am reading in a low light situation. This is a short term thing, like just a few minutes, so I do not experience any eye strain. You should ask your doctor this same question and they would be able to answer it for you specifically, knowing your RX. LORI O^O
