What happens to my eyesight over time from wearing glasses?!

Question:

What happens to my eyesight over time from wearing glasses?

Do I have to get a stronger set? My eyes get tired now and the last time I had an eye exam was about 4-5 years ago.

Answers:

Nothing happens to your eyes from wearing glasses over time. Wearing glasses (unless your a young child) will not change your eyesight. Naturally over time your eyesight changes on its own. I would say you should get an eye exam at least every 2 years. Your prescription may need some updating and that can contribute to your eyes feeling tired. Also depending on your age (40's+) you could be getting into presbyopia. The crystalline lens in your eye looses its ability to accommodate for near vision (reading) and you will need a new type of glasses (bifocals/progressives/readers... to help you read. :) Go get your eyes checked and take it from there :)
