Dark brown eye(almost black) in light?!

Question:

Dark brown eye(almost black) in light?

when I get closer to a light my dark brown eye seems blue how is that possible

Answers:

When you look in the light you are seeing the actual color of your iris. The color of your eye doesn't actually change, unless you have pigment dispersion syndrome. Sometimes what a person is wearing or a certain lighting can make their eyes look a different color. People are so quick to categorize eyes into the color they appear from far away. I've looked into eyes with a bio microscope for cl lens fitting and even eyes that look brown have different colors in them like yellow, green, blue and gray. My boyfriends eyes are considered brown, but in the light they are hazel and green.
So even though your eyes look a dark brown from far away, when you get a close look at them you are seeing your true eye color. :)

Anyways I hope that helps :)
