I have had a floater in my eye for over a week. Is there any known way to get rid of the condition?

I went to the eye doctor. He said that my vision is fine except for the floater. He also said there wasn't anything that I can do about it. It will be with me for the rest of my life. The floater is driving me crazy. Is there any known treatment?

It could be a sign of a detached retina. If your eye doctor doesn't have a solution, go to another one. It could be serious.
