Pupils in your eye?

Anyone a doctor or nurse,my pupils are opening and closing rapidly is that a bad thing?i took some meds maybe took to much

it was doxycycline says to take one every 8 hours i took two at one time not sure what effect its gonna have oops just wanted to hurry up and get better


Answers:

Pupils normally do open and close (get larger and smaller) rapidly. If they react fast to light then that's normal. If they react sluggishly or don't react at all or are of different sizes, THAT is abnormal.

As far as I can recall, Doxycyclene has no ophthalmic side effects. But if you take MASSIVE doses of it, like 10 tablets in one sitting, then there might be some toxicity to the optic nerves and not the pupils.

HOWEVER, modifying your dosing for anti-biotics is never a good idea. Doxycycline and ANY OTHER MEDICATION for that matter will always have adverse reactions which will come out if a large enough dose is taken.
