I just had my eyes check in December...but vision is already worse...?!

Question:

I just had my eyes check in December...but vision is already worse...?

I had my eyes checked in December and I got a new prescription as well as new contacts and glasses...but two weeks later things were blurry again. Not unbearably blurry but annoyingly blurry. Plus my eyes seem to be dry all the time. Any thoughts?

Answers:

Kids and teens can have rapid and dramatic changes in vision over a few months, due to the fact that they're growing and changing. But within two weeks after an exam and new prescription? You should have contacted the eye doctor to let him/her know. It may be too late to be able to change your glasses, etc, with insurance coverage being what it can be, but you probably should let the doctor know so they can rule out a more serious problem.
Dry eyes will affect how clearly you see, especially with contact lenses, your eye doctor can recommend eye drops that could give some relief and improvement in overall vision.
Long story short, you need to contact your eye doctorand describe the problems and let them help you find the right solution for YOU.
