I just started wearing eye glasses today..it's weird. Any advice?
I'm 25yrs old and I just got glasses for the first time. I just got them today and I'm having a bit of trouble adjusting to them. I just read while using them and I found after about a half hour that I kind of liked reading without them better, even though when I wear them the print is darker and sharper. I kind of have a bit of a headache right now actually.
When I did the eye exam, I had more of a problem seeing the bottom few lines of the chart on the wall, so maybe I need them more for distances.
I guess I'm just looking for some guidance as to how I'm supposed to feel with these new glasses.

I should add that when I did the small print test at the doctor's, it wasn't bad - just a little fuzzy but I could still read it. I also use my eyes a whole lot - a read a lot and I work as a 911 dispatcher so I'm using a computer for 10hour shifts.

I totally understand! My advise is to wear them for 1 hour 3 x's a day and gradually longer. If you have astigmatism, you will find that driving and watching tele is the best time to adjust. Right now your brain is just confused as to what you are doing. After 30 days anything you do will become a habit.
