Laser eye surgery?!

Question:

Laser eye surgery?

Do you actually feel anything during laser eye surgery? Is it painful at all and is it possible to have it done even with an astigmatism?

Answers:

They do numb your eye with a needle. It may be slightly painful afterwards depending on which surgery you get. There are two:
~LASIK : small cut in your eye, creating a flap and they reshape your cornea with a laser to your desired specifications. Has the best recovery time. Least pain. Not accepted by the DoD for flight training.
~PRK : no cutting. Laser "shaves" off front of cornea to get desired vision. 2-3 days recovery. Slight pain, feels like you're looking through smoke for 2 days or your eyes itch. Accepted by DoD for flight training.

That's all I know. ^_^
