Question:

Ok so I went to Hour Eyes and they said that my lense would be AV protected and a special coating for?

people who use the computer also something that begins with the letter S and I am not sure what it is?

Answers:

Do you mean UV protected?
"Just as we use sunscreen to keep the sun's UV rays from harming our skin, UV treatment in eyeglass lenses blocks those same rays from damaging our eyes. Overexposure to ultraviolet light is thought to be a cause of cataracts, retinal damage and other eye problems"
Or do you mean arc?
ARC (antireflection coating) Its a coating that reduces glare that helps with working on computers and night driving etc... This coating is great for helping prevent computer vision syndrome because it dramatically reduces reflections and glare.
The one that starts with "S" is SRC (scratch resistant coating). This helps reduce the amount of scratches that you will get on your lenses because plastic scratches easily. Remember scratch resistant... not scratch proof... if you are not careful with your glasses they will still scratch :)

Check out this link it has more details on the coatings they put on glasses if you are interested :) http://www.allaboutvision.com/lenses/coa...
