What does it mean when your eye jumps or twitches?!
Question:
What does it mean when your eye jumps or twitches?
Answers:
Is it the eyeball itself, or is it the muscles in your eyelid?
If it is the eyeball itself that is moving, it is called nystagmus, and it is usually an indication of a very serious underlying problem such as multiple sclerosis, lupus or brain tumor. It can also be a side effect of certain drugs.
If it is the eyelid that is twitching, it is simply caused by a nerve misfiring. Oftentimes there is no known cause, but it is usually due to stress, fatigue or possibly even a potassium deficiency.
