What happens if someone shines a laser pointer in your eye?
In math today some kids had them and any time I moved my hand from sheilding my eyes they shone it at my eye. They only got my one eye for a second and only twice. Is anything going to happen because of that?

Some lasers can do very serious damage to the eyes, but a typical laser pointer only causes temporary blindness. However, as the article below says, even temporary blindness can be disastrous if it occurs while driving or doing something else where vision is indispensable.
