Dizziness from contact lenses?!

Question:

Dizziness from contact lenses?

In the last couple of weeks I've noticed that one eye has had slightly poorer vision. I also have begun to get dizzy from reading. Is it possible that my prescription has changed that dramatically in such a short amount of time? I use AMO Complete MoisturePlus, although I've used different solutions in the past. I'm going to see the eye doc in a couple of weeks, but should I get checked out sooner than that?

Answers:

When was the last time you had an eye exam? How old are you? This is very important because at about 40 (and seldom before you turn 40) your eyes start not to focus when you read. This is called Presbyopia (or the inability to read at your usual and customary distance). If it has only been a little while since your last exam, you may want to schedule a follow up appt. with your dr. for an over refraction and they will be able to determine what the problem is. Please don't get alarmed, it's probably nothing but a weak rx what is causing your problem.
