How does laser eye surgery help fix your vision?!

Question:

How does laser eye surgery help fix your vision?

Like right a paragraph about it. I really want to know!

Answers:

The laser doesn't burn the surface of the lens. The problem with your vision is focusing the light that enters your eye so the image is sharp, just like focusing a camera or microscope. If the image is blurry that means your eye is a different shape than normal and glasses or contacts are needed to focus the light for you.

What the laser does is reshape the front part of your eye, the cornea, in order to focus the light. First a flap is cut on your cornea and then the laser reshapes under that flap. This way the shape of your cornea will focus the light properly instead of using glasses or contacts.

Not everyone can have laser surgery, that front part of your eye must be thick enough to reshape. Also, there are age restrictions because younger people, say under 25, have glasses prescriptions that change each year.
