How does blind people live?
how does blind people write? what kind of hobbies and sports can they perform? how do they live life?
Answers:
my stepdaughter is blind and mute and has some cerebal palsy
she gets along very well.
She goes surfing once a year, she camps with us, she bowls, she plays a piano.
She reads using braille. She types on the computer and uses voice activation to hear what her email says. She can also write with a braille writer. She uses her cane to get around and also sighted guide. She uses a braille note machine to talk. It has braille buttons on it so she can type what she wants to say and then when she is done she pushes another button so that it will speak whatever she types. Quite amazing really!
We have buttons on the microwave covered with braille printed dyno tape so she can read them and use them.
She does not cook, I do that, but she can set the table and clear it. It is her job to feed the dogs after we take them for walk.
Most blind people can function just as well as anyone else.
It's a disability, they do the best they can to live as normal as possible.
