Hello there! If you are considering colored contacts you will need to make an appt for a contact lens fitting! You can either go to an optometrist or an optician (Places like Lenscrafters etc..) Just call them before hand and inquire if they do contact lens fitting... and you should mention what you need them for (no prescription, just color). After you set an appt for a fitting they will take measurements, train you to put them in your eyes, and teach you how to take care of them etc... They will check the fit with you wearing the contacts to make sure they fit properly. Also with the trial pair you can see what the color will look like. The trial contacts are free but they usually say trial on them or have a slight power so you cant actually use them. There are many different types and brands so the price can vary quite a bit. Most commonly you can buy them by the box (3 pairs) and they are good for 30 wears each pair. They are about $30 and up per box (CDN) depending on location and brand. Most places also have a fitting fee for contacts so make sure to ask about that before.
Personally I don't think its worth it because contacts can be alot of fuss if you dont need them for vision. And I always think that natural eye color is best.
It is a personal decision though... if you would like to have a different color of eyes you can try it out and see for yourself how you like it :) Hope that helps :)
