OD: right eye (latin?)
OS: left eye
Shere is your distance correction, Cylinder is your astigmatism correction and axis is the degree to which your astigmatism has to "sit" at in order for you to see. PL means "plano" which also mean 0.
According to your Rx: you have a slight astigmatism in your right eye and are MILDLY nearsighted in your left.
You probably see well without an Rx but this will help with detailed distance. ei: movies, driving.
i dont know about the sphere, cylinder, and axis thing, but-0.50 and -0.25 is not bad at ALL.mine is like -4.5. yours just means that you have a TINY bit of trouble seeing far away.
I don't know what the PL for your OD (right eye)means, but in your right eye you have fairly small astigmatism and your (near-sighted) prescription for your left eye is VERY small (no astigmatism.( If you need more help, ask your optometrist.
