Can you react to contacts?!

Question: Okay, I just got contact lenses today and I was wondering if you can react to them. If you can what will happen? I would like know if i am reacting yet or what to look for in the next couple of days. My eyes are a little red where the contacts were but not to terribly bad. Is it a small reaction?
Thank you for everyones answers they are all appreciated.

People will have different reactions, but I can tell you what mine was: for the first month or so, they BURNED like hell for a good 15 minutes when I put them in. But after that, they were just fine all day. After that first month or so, I could put them in no problems. I wore them for years without problems, then stopped. When I tried to again, once again with the burning... but in this case, they'd dry out or something... it felt like the wind was hitting in my eyes and my eyes would start to hurt. So I stopped wearing them altogether.

Keep wearing yours, and if you have a bad reaction, you'll know it, and know enough to take them out. But more likely than not, you'll just get used to them and be fine.

After a week or so you wont even know your wearing them

good person to ask im in 7th grade and i got contacts about september when skool starts and yes when you put them in sometimes your eyes will turn red no reaction just leave them no infection or anything it will go away in a lil bit dont worry

oh i have contacts.. theres contacts for everyone even if you have senstive eyes you just need to find the right brand.. i have acuve and it works really welll. make sure if there the 2 week one that you can use for 2 weeks you need to take them out everyday and put fresh soultion in it for best results its a pain the first couple days but when u get used it its really easy... but the 2 weeks one can last like more then a month if you take care of them the right way. plus saves u alot of money

good luck<3
hope i helped

It's a little weird when you first get them, but you'll get used to it.

You've got to change your contact lense solution every single day.

As long as your hands are clean, and the storage solution is clean, you should be fine. The solution needs to be refrigerated too.

If you're still having a reaction when you didn't before, throw your contacts, the solution, and the storage case away, and start over - it worked for me.

If the redness doesn't clear up in a few days, you should go back to you doctor maybe the contact lenses are not fitted right for your eyeball
