Answers: I have had glasses since October and curious to know how long will it be for my vision to improve.

If your eye doctor knows what they are doing and prescribing the correct eyeglass prescription then yes they do get a little better. I had been wearing my glasses for a year and a half and when I went back in for my appointment my doctor told me that there was major improvement in my vision and he prescribed a weaker prescription for my glasses and contacts. Remember to eat your carrots.

i heard that eyeglasses make your vision worse because you get more used to them.

Your vision will never improve, unless you have some form of vision corrective surgery, such as Lasiks.

If you have glasses, you will need them the rest of your life.

Glasses won't fix your vision problem. They simply make up the difference. Similar to how a magnifying glass works. If you hold a magnifying glass over something, it will never make that object permanently larger. It will only appear large as long as you use the magnifying glass. Your vision is the same. You will have good vision as long as you are wearing your glasses.
For a permanent solution, consider surgery.

Normally your vison doesn't improve but will continue to degrade with age. The eyeglasses will help to slow the process.

I've been wearing glasses since the year 1951. I know a lot about glasses & vision. Glasses improve your vision whenever you wear them. They will not otherwise improve your vision when you do not wear them. If your glasses do not correct your vision to nearly perfect, get retested. Maybe you did not get a good prescription. I have found that doctors at LensCrafters do the best job, and HMO eye doctors do the worst.

eye glasses dont improve your vision. the more u get used to them the less u can see properly without them. but carrot helps in improving vision. and there is a mixture made from:
i dont know if u understand urdu but maybe u can get them translated.
almonds, misri, sauf, in equal amounts grinded. and a little white pepper. it is supposed to be eaten first thing in the morning.

hope u can get the translation

Glasses don't improve your actual vision, just how you see. Contacts on the other hard help your eyes. They just ran some studies and found that contacts slow down the process of losing eyesight. And that is GREAT news to people like me who are LITERALLY nearly blind.

Your vision never reverses though. There might have been a case here or here where that happened, but that is a complete lie that glasses improve your vision. I think you and your doctor had a misunderstanding.

im sort of unsure
some ppl say it makes it worse because u start to "depend" on them to see clearly

but on the other hand, i heard it can make eyesight better because it gives your eyes a break from the strain of having your normal vision....

O_o idk
!!

In the 20 years that I have been wearing glasses, my vision has not improved when the glasses are off. Once your eyes go bad, they're bad unless you get Lasik. If anything, your vision will get worse and require a stronger Rx, as is natural as we age. Sorry to burst your bubble.
