Problems seeing...?!

Question: I've noticed that I have a problem seeing and reading certain colors such as red, orange, and green. Now I can tell all these colors apart so I figure I am not color blind. Does anyone else know what else can be causing this?

It is a common misconception that people who are "color blind" can't see colors. That simply isn't the case. "Color blind" individuals can see colors, they just don't see them in the same way others do and some colors that are relatively close in wavelength to each other may look exactly the same whereas a person with normal color vision will be able to see subtle differences. For instance, a "color blind" person may pick out an orange tie to go with a red shirt and think that they match. Then when they go to work everybody laughs at them for wearing red and orange together. So just because you can see red, orange, and green doesn't necessarily mean that you see them the same way everyone else does. I would recommend you go in to a doctor's office and have them perform a Pseudo Isochromatic Color Vision Test. This will tell you if you have a color vision problem. Hope this helped.
