Question: does eye color mean anything what was the orignal purpose?and i have blue eyes and ther are sensitive to the light anyone know why?

Blue eyes lack melanin, the pigment that makes brown eyes brown. Because they are lighter, blue eyes tend to be more sensitive to glare. But blue eyes also tend to allow for better night vision. Original purpose? May not have been one, just a genetic mutation that was neither beneficial nor detrimental and thus remained in the gene pool.

Blue eyes has lighter pigment (less pigment) than darker eys do.
That's all I know.
My blue eyes are super sensitive as well.

That is a hell of a good question! whats the heriditary purpose of eye color? I have never pondered that before...just accepted it as is. But it is true us blue eyed peoples are more sensitive to light. especially on overcast days for some reason really hurt!
