Do I have a lazy eye?!

Question: My eyes look fine, I never squint or anything but I can hardly see out of my left eye. When I look straight ahead I cant see out of both eyes equally. I actually don't see out of my left eye at all. But I see out of my left eye if I look to the left or I close my right eye.

It sounds like you are suppressing the vision in your left eye - so when you have both eyes open you don't use it. You could have a small angle squint or, for example, you could be very longsighted (hypermetropic) in the left eye and perfect in the right. So when you have only the left eye open, it works really hard and focusses to make you see clearly. But when they are both together, the brain just switches the weaker eye off.

A lazy eye is an eye whose vision never developed properly. If the left eye sees just as clearly as the right eye when used on it's own, you don't have a lazy eye as such.

How long have you noticed this? Have you had your eye's tested?

you better consult urself..........

^_^

make an appointment and see and eye doctor. Thats the only way to know

A lazy eye is one that moves slower than the other. When looking at someone with a lazy eye, one eye will be looking directly at you and the other is slower to follow.

I have lots of problems with my eyes, calabouma (sp?), near sightedness, very bad sight, only partial sight in one eye, and a lazy eye. The best thing to do is find an eye doctor that has lots of experience (20+yrs) and make an appointment. That's the only way you will know forsure what's wrong with your eye.

u not just have a lazy left eye... there's something wrong wid it.. i think u better see an ophthalmologist and have your eye examined... and i mean first thing u get the chance to do so..
