I had this problem when I first got my contacts too and someone taught me this trick. Look in the mirror, take the index finger of your left hand and hold up the top lid of your eye, take the middle finger of your right hand and pull down the bottom of your eye, look straight ahead at yourself and use the index finger of your right hand to drag the contact down off your pupil. Once you get it off the pupil, you should be good, just look up and pull it off with your thumb and index finger.

i always look away and try to pull it to the outer corner of my eye. at that point there is a little ripple in the contact that i can grab on too. make sure your hands are clean and if all else fails, just rub your eyes with your fists and it will eventually come out! good luck!

I have contacts too and the best way i have found to get them out is to hold the eyelids open with one hand and use your dominant hand (clean) to take the buggers out by using thumb and forefinger and sort of gently pinch the contacts out of the eye. Don't worry you will not hurt your eye at all by doing this as you can safely touch your eye without damaging them (unless you got really long nails) Don't freak just stay calm and have a few goes if you have long nails CUT THEM! It's easier with short nails. Or you can use a finger to slide the lens right to the corner of the eye where it should be grabbable.

with one hand, your non-dominant hand most likely will be better (if you're righty, use your left hand) hold your top and bottom lid open wide. Use your thumb and middle finger of your dominant hand to take it out. Just put both fingers on both sides of the contact (left and right sides) and bring your fingers together to lift it up. You have to apply some pressure or else you're just dragging your fingers across your eye.
If your contacts have been in a long time, they might be kinda dry, so it helps to wet your fingers with the solution before attempting to take it out.
Be patient, it takes a while to get the hang of it when you first start using contacts.

Pinch the eyeball, rather on the contact lens, it will come out. If your contact lens is torn, you won't be able to get it out that easily since you are a new user, because the torn will go up into the corners of the eye. If you cannot get it out yourself, you need to go to the optician.
