My ophthalmologist said that it depends on the brand of lens you are wearing..
He gave me Bausch & Lomb lens and Optifree solution.
Supposedly the composition of each lens is different.
But could the salesman be his golfing buddy?LOL
Every eye is different and more or less sensitive to each kind. Try out each brand til you find the right one that seems to work best for you, thats what I had to do. I used Renu, Complete, and some cheap dollar store brand. Honestly, I like the dollar store brand, silly as that sounds.

I do not use or purchase rewetting drops, used to anyway. Until I read the ingredients in there, same ingredients as in the rinsing solution.
Contact Lense Wearer 16yrs.
One problem with the extended wear lenses. Bacteria build up. It remains preferable to remove and clean the lenses daily. Extended wear or not. To simply re-wet, any of the standard sterile salines will do. But you also need to clean.
I really have cringed witnessing RN's spitting on their lenses and re-inserting them. Educated ignorance.

I just got those type of contacts yesterday :)
I use OptiFree, because according to my eyedoctor, it's the only brand out of the main three: Renu and Complete and OptiFree, that hasn't been recalled, which means they haven't had to take it back for any problems it's caused.
I love the stuff! :)
