When i lifted my eyelid a little to put in my contacts my eye was really red..wh!

You might have an infection. Does it hurt or itch or anything? If it stays around for more than a couple of days or it does hurt or itch then I would advice seeing an eye doctor. Also, I would recommend not using your contacts for a couple of days. Go ahead and go with the glasses.
your eyes are very irritated you should clean your contacts every week
