You can use baby shampoo to clean out your eyes, it'll kill the bacteria and won't burn. Don't believe me, ask an opthalmologist. That's who told me. Also (don't know if you wear any) but removing make up before bed is good.
Oh and one other thing, taking lutein helps prolong eye health.
