What are black eyes?!
Question: In a questionare I was asked my eye colour and given the usual options of gray,blue,hazel, green and brown but black was also an option. Is it even possible for people to have black eyes? I have never seen anyone with them, have you?

My eyes are that color also and so are both of my sons' eyes...they *look* black under most lighting conditions. You cannot differentiate between where the iris ends and the pupil begins. But, if you shine a light directly in my eyes, you can see that they really aren't *black*, but they are just really really dark brown; and in my opinion, very pretty.
I don't know if it's ACTUALLY possible, but they say Spanish women have black eyes. I lived in Spain for a while though, and they wer just really dark brown.

i see it all the time , but under the microscope it's very dark brown
Yes, my father said that he had a buddy in Nam that had orange eyes. black eyes would merely mean that the stuff that is in the iris is just really thick, that is how colors are made in the eye, but yes I have seen black eyes and mine are real close.
