Can I reuse contacts after they've been chilled?!

Question: I accidently left my disposable contact lens in solution in my car in below freezing temperatures, although I'm pretty sure the solution never froze. The lens isn't that old.

Is it okay to use the lens still? Will it irritate my eye? Is this something I shouldn't make a habit of?

If anyone's done this before, that would be of great help.

Thaw the lens and the solution out fully. That's all you have to do. They will be fine. I leave my extra pairs of unused disposable contact lenses in the refrigerator for storage until I am ready to use them with no problems. (It keeps them in newer condition longer, since any microbes in the factory solution will not grow as quickly.) Don't be concerned. They will be fine and won't hurt your eyes if you have allowed them to thaw.

ask the eye doctor but I would say no. be careful.

no

i dont see a problem
just rinse your contacts in new solution and get rid of your old solution

As long as the lens is soft, it won't damage your eye. Make sure the lens reaches room temperature before putting it in! U wouldn't want to give your eyeball frost bite!

Fluid left inside a car shouldn't freeze except in a very extreme cold snap. You should warm the lens's in tepid solution and let them warm up naturally. They should be just fine. Don't make a habit of leaving your lens's in the car. The heat of summer will really kill them.

ok i did that before wellyou should check if the contact has any rips or tears or anything is abnormal about it if not then just wait till it warms up dont warm it yourself and go ahead and wear them just make sure you clean them again before you reuse in a different solution then the one in the below freezing temps.

Well, I live in Florida, it's never below freezing here. lol.
But my contacts have gotten pretty cold,
lol and I took them straight out of the car, and put them in.
It hurt like hell.
lmao
But no, if they're back to normal when you get ready to use them, then it should be okay.
If not, I believe you'll notice somethings wrong, and, hopefully, take them out.

You should be fine if they didn't freeze. I've put in re-hydrated contacts before, meaning that they were lost and I found them all shriveled up. Didn't seem to bother me but it depends upon how sensitive your eyes are. Try it and see but don't put them in and start driving to the other side of the country or something like that...
I recommend not doing it again.
