Contacts help please???!

Question: I just got my contacts yesterday, and the Optomotrist put them in for me. Today I started at 1:00 and tried to put the one on my right eye for almost 2 hours! I was putting it in the right way, I cleaned both of them last night, I dried it with a towel instead of a napkin, (I am starting to wonder if that was a good idea or not.), I tried in front of my bathroom mirror(Only worked for my left eye.), then I tried in front of a magnifying mirror (and it didn't work.). Everytime I try to put it on my eye gets really wattery, and I start blinking a lot and it falls out, and I clean it again and try to put it in but it's not working. Should I use a napkin instead of a towel? Why isn't it going in? And how can I make it stay on my eye?
(Sorry if I misspelled some things, it's hard for me to see.)

I have been wearing contacts since I was a kid. First of all you should not be drying your lenses with any towel. The next thing is that you are making your lenses too wet. The only thing that you have to do is put a little solution on the lense and let it suction to your eye. All you have to do is lightly touch the lense to your eye and it will stick. If they get watery that is okay just dab your eye with a napkin or tissue after it is in. If it wont stay on your eye there is a possibility that you have reversed the lense and no it will not go on your eye if that happens. Pls make sure that the top of the lense is pushed out. It is also possible that you are putting the left in the right eye and the right in the left eye and here again is a scenario where the lense will not stay on the eye.

the best thing to do is calm down. and get someone to help.

call the eye doctor

hope it gets better

SABRiiNA ? ?

yes.

Ok, well.... Same problem here. Get some Thera-tears or eyedrops that will help sensitive eyes. Also, make sure you are using a NAPKIN, not a towel!! A towel can rip the contact. Make an app. with your doctor if needed. just keep trying, you'll get used to them soon.

You need to just trust yourself. Do it quick. Open your eyelids with one hand and put the contact in your eye with the other hand. You are probably thinking about it too much. Keep practicing. Hope this help.

omg well i don't know if your doctor told you to dry it with a towel but DON'T
your supposed to wash it then put it in you want it to have moisture not be dry then it can't stick to your eye
just put it in

I had the same problem when I first got my contacts. Now from what I read is that you dried your Contacts? Correct me if I' wrong but you never dry your contacts. Your eyes will almost always get watery because your basically putting a piece of plastic and water on your eye. Try not to blink, what I do is hold my eye open with my fingers when I put them in. Take your time and don't get frustrated, if your still having problems call your Optometrist and tell them whats going on

Dont worry. it's gets easier by the day. You probably should buy some special eye drops for contact lens' users. it stops the itch. Rest a while after trying to wear it for a long time. It helps.

wait...do u clean the contats w/ a towel? cause ur not supposed 2 do that.u take the contact...cleanse it in ur hand , put it on ur finger and then put a little more cleansing thing on contact and then put in ur eye. mayb its falling out cause the contact is inside out. turn it over and try again.

I dont know who told you to dry them , But that is totally incorrect, they should never be dry. PLEASE, PLEASEcall and go back to the eye doctor before you cut your eye. I have been wearing contacts for over 40years, all kinds, and none of them are suppose to ever be dry. THE WETNESS MAKES IT ADHERE TO YOUR EYE LIKE A SECOND SKIN. zz
