I have something in my eye, what should I do?!

Question: I've tried to blink and wash it out with water, and I still feel it there.

Answers: I've tried to blink and wash it out with water, and I still feel it there.

I've had that feelinng before. It's probablly sort of like eye crusts....but moist and inside the eye. What my father did was take a tissue and make me open my eye nice and wide. MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS CAREFULLY! and then you slightly poke it, making sure it sticks to the tissue. It should work. If you can't find anything for a while, there's probablly nothing in there and you should go to sleep or take a nap. The feeling should be gone, and good luck.

It may already have been washed out, but the eye is so sensitive that it feels as if there's still something there. If it is still a problem after half an hour, seek medical advice. In the meantime, hold the eyelids open and roll your eyes. It would be useful if there is someone with you to help. Only use warm tap water to wash them out (if you don't possess a sterile eye wash).

I hope this helps.

you could have an eyelash in your eye. it happens to me all the time. don't worry, it should come out in time, if not try to get it out with a tissue, or try moving your eye around.

It might be some grit or something trapped under the eyelid. Make sure you rinse your eyes out with clean water. if its an eyelash the tissue thing mentioned in the above answers usually works, or you could wet an earbud stick and get it out with that. if you can still feel it in an hour or so you should visit the eye hospital and they could check it for you.

Do NOT rub your eye!! Close your eyes for several seconds and then blink several times when you open them.

Can you make yourself cry? That will wash out your eye.
