Question: I went off my parents insurance and now I need contacts! I heard you can get free eye exams at some places if you buy your contacts or glasses from them. If so are the contacts more expensive there? I need information.

america's best is who you are referring to. You can get a free glasses eye exam with the purchase of 2 pairs of glasses. If you join the "eye care club" which is pretty much paying in advance for services you may or may not use, you get free eye exams for the next 3 years and discounted contacts and glasses. I'd go with walmart or costco, you get slightly better quality of care, without any confusing gimmicks and it's pretty cheap (about $70 for a contact lens eye exam, prices differ per location) and contacts a pretty cheap there as well

If you see commercials on free eye exams you might want to go there. I would bet Shopko provides cheap eye care.
