Can you blow dry your hair with contacts on?!

Question: Hi i got contacts, and was wondering if i could blow dry my hair while wearing them.....
I know i can't take a shower, take a bath, go swimming in them, etc.
But what about blow drying your hair and having contacts on at the same time, will anything even happen?

If they are soft contact lenses you don't have to worry at all about the hair dryer blowing them out of the eye. BUT, hot dry air causes rapid evaporation of water it passes over. That's why your hair dries so fast. If the air from your dryer passes over the eyes then you can have rapid evaporation of your tears. This can cause you to develop a tear deficit and thereby cause the lenses to become dehydrated. Dehydrated lens tend to be unvomfortable and irritating to the eyes. So just try not to direct the air directly across the eyes. Hope this helped.

Yes.

Can see a problem with this. If you're gonna dry your hair with contacts on - won't the air blow them off onto the floor. I'd try either wearing them, or puttin gthem in the box for safe keeping. lol

yes, you can shower, swin and take a bath with them, just don't open your eyes under water

Not unless you aim it directly into your eyes. You'll be fine, just blow dry your hair and avoid hitting your eyes with the hot air.

Think! Keep it away from your eyes, maybe?

What do you suppose high heat would do to the lenses? Melt them onto your corneas?
If you are wearing contacts and recieve a flash from a welder's arc, guess what happens?
What does happen if heat gets near plastic?

When in doubt, a reasonable person does not experiment with their health to discover results...
