Eye contacts information! Please help?!
Question: i've worn glasses for 2 years and my mom said i can get contacts when i'm 15 which will be next year but now she's saying i shouldn't get them i want to convince her cause i really want them i want she says they cost to much
So my question is how much do they cost and how often do you have to get them and my sister says one of her friends gets his weekly does he pay every time?

I've worn contacts for 30 years, I got mine when I was 15 also. You will love them! First off they don't cost anymore than a pair of glasses. There are many different types of lenses, some you can wear for extended periods of time, some you wear and throw away, all depends of your vision needs and what works best for you. Your optometrist will fit you with the best lens for you! I worked for a optometrist for many years, and I had patients as young as 8 wearing contacts. Maybe your mom needs to talk to the optometrist to compare costs, concerns, etc.. Good luck!
it really depends on the brand you get and how bad your eyes are. the first brand I used you changed them out biweekly and you could get a pack with 6 contacts in it. with my new perscription I have to change them out once a month and can get two boxs for under $50.
