Question: My three-year-old got some tobasco in his eye. Besides flushing it with water and putting a little ice pack on it, is there anything else I should be doing?

OUCH!!!! Poor kid, it happens I know, but keep flushing it w/ h2O. Perhaps the Dr. if things don't calm down. Take care and give lots of hugs and kisses.

Soulmate Sad

Keep flushing it with water if it still burns.. If it causes anymore problems just take him to the dr

Top it with Chilli and add crackers.

GO 2 A DOCTOR!!!!! THAT CAN BLIND YOU!1

goin to an optomiterst and making sure it not serious

It will go away..

Water puts fire out, Keep Flushing it!

make a call to your local ER.

make an appointment with the eye doctor to see if there was any damage done

I recommend calling your local hospital and asking them...i don't think any long term harm can happen, but it's best to find out from the people who know. Better to check with them that risk something terrible happening. Best of luck.

I don't think so, but i'd monitor it just in case. My friend put tabasco in his eye on a dare before he was alright, just burned for awhile.

But since he/she is only 3, just look to see if things get worse.

awww;[ poor thing
sounds like you got it under control
if its still bothering him
maybe you should call the doctor or
pediatrician and see what they think about it.
goodluck with the little one;]

Flush it with water for a good while, and use some eyedrops for a while after that, I should think, to keep him producing tears.

I hate to say it, but a little touch of lemon juice will go a long way. It works!

The sour lemon counteracts the heat of the capasaicin (sp?).

Oh, and rinse well with saline!!!
